Arizona Gunfighters Voted Best Old West Re-enactment Group by True West magazine

The Arizona Gunfighters were recently honored by True West magazine as the best old west re-enactment group in their October 2005 "Best of the West" issue.

In the re-enactment category, the magazine said "Doc Holliday and Bat Masterson live! For better than a decade, Bob Charnes, Dale Charnes and Corky Corkran (deceased in 1998) have been reliving - and making - history with their authentic recreations of the Wild West. This Mesa-based organization has its own Western set, and the group has performed everywhere from Tombstone to the Super Bowl (pregame show, not the ballgame)."

"Considering the high caliber of re-enactment groups from which we were judged, we feel honored by such a recognition. It makes us want to strive even more to live up to this honor with our costuming and the level of professionalism that is demonstrated by our cast members" said Dale Charnes.
